Half marathoners take a 1/2 step closer to glory with 3.5 miles lined up.
Once again, there are '3' ways to approach Sunday's exercise-run, run/walk, or walk.
For run/walk, I'd 'suggest' trying a 3 minute:1 minute run/walk interval. If this is too daunting, dial it back to 1:1. Conversely, if it feels like a cake walk doing 3:1, give 5:1 a shot.
Remember, any running you do should be at 'comfortable, conversational' pace.
Here's a link to course map for those training at the half marathon level-
Sunday Half Marathon Course Map
We'll do our warmup routine on Crissy Field and then launch our run from the same spot we have previously. This time we will head WEST along the dirt path and head towards the Warming Hut.
You'll continue running PAST the Warming Hut onto the paved path all the way to the base of the Golden Gate Bridge at 'Hopper's Hands'. This is roughly one mile. Turn around here and head back the way you came.
Once you return to our start, you will have logged two miles. Continue running EAST along the beautiful dirt path commonly known as 'The Marina Promenade'. You will run along the promenade for about half a mile before you will see a parking lot to your RIGHT.
This is the 'East Beach' parking lot. There are restrooms and a water fountain here if you need to make a pit stop.
Continue running along the promenade for roughly a 1/4 of a mile and you will end up in a parking lot behind the 'Little Marina Green'. This is roughly 2.75 miles. Turn around and head back to our starting point and you will have logged 3.5 MILES for the day!
