Tuesday (11/24) Running Route Description

Tomorrow, you will be logging between 2-5 miles depending upon your training level. The link below should give you a relatively clear sense of where we're going. I've also included a verbal description beneath it:

TUESDAY EVENING'S RUN COURSE!

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TUESDAY'S RUN-

We will head SOUTH along the Marina towards the hill adjacent to the Marina Safeway. Crest this hill and head down into Aquatic Park. Take an immediate LEFT and head towards the pier where we did our 'wildcard workout'.

Run all the way to the end of the pier and come back. You will continue running STRAIGHT towards Van Ness. You will head uphill slightly and come to the intersection of Van Ness and Bay Street, Turn RIGHT on Bay Street.

Be careful when you make this turn as there may be a brief stretch where you will be running on the shoulder. But, a sidewalk should appear shortly after you make this turn.

Continue running along Bay Street until you reach the intersection of Bay & Laguna. Turn right on Laguna and you will see the Marina Safeway on your left. Follow Laguna back towards the Marina Green Monkey Bars.

BEGINNERS are done upon returning to the Marina Green Monkey Bars. You 'actually' will have logged about 2.25 miles.

INTERMEDIATE level runners will do a 'victory lap' (3/4 of a mile) around the circumference of the Marina Green upon returning to the monkey bars. This entails running towards the Golden Gate Bridge until you reach 'Scott'. Take an immediate right and continue running along the Marina Green. Take another right and continue back towards the Marina Green Monkey Bars. Take one last right and you will have logged 3 MILES!

ADVANCED level runners will continue running towards the Golden Gate Bridge along the Marina to the intersection of Marina & Broderick upon returning to the monkey bars. Turn around and head back to the monkey bars. Tack on a 'victory lap' around the Marina Green and you will have logged 4 MILES!

RACE level runners run past Marina/Broderick to the intersection of Mason/Halleck adjacent to the Crissy Field Center. This is where we turned around for our two mile time trial. Turn around and head back to the monkey bars. Tack on a 'victory lap' around the Marina Green and you will have logged 5 MILES!

will there be time to make a stop at the Marina Safeway? I understand they have "singles-night" there on certain days of the week.
